Sammy O'Neill
Owner & Director
Sammy is the owner and director of Raine and Shine Daycare. She is the main caregiver for the children and a mom of two, Russell and Penny. Sammy grew up working with children, when she was still a child herself. She always knew she would work with littles when she grew up. At a young age she volunteered at her mothers school with preschoolers and started babysitting at 13. When she was 17 she worked at Stoneleigh Elementary's afterschool program for 5 years. Sammy decided at 19 that she wanted to eventually open an in home daycare so she went to CCBC to get her 90hr certificate in childcare. She went on to nanny for the next 7 years until she and her husband purchased their home and made her dreams come true. Sammy is entering her 9th year of running Raine and Shine Daycare and is loving every minute of it!
Brie Vendetti
Assistant and Subtitute
Brie joined Raine and Shine in June 2026. She has experience nannying, babysitting, and has worked at daycares previously. She also has the most adorable daughter Georgia who tags along with Mommy sometimes to play with her little friends!
Spice Kleinmann
Music Teacher & Substitute
Spice aka Uma, has been providing music class for Raine and Shine Daycare since it opened in 2017. She comes weekly and does an amazing 30-40 minute class with the children. She also provides music class for other in home daycares in the area and preschools in Baltimore City. Spice is also Sammy's Stepmom!
Maelyn Bryan
Assistant and Substitute
Mae joined Raine and Shine in June 2026. She has experience babysitting and often cares for her three sweet and wild nephews, one pictured above! She also has her vet tech license and is a big animal lover.
Elizabeth Lewis
Volunteer
Elizabeth aka Grammy, is Sammy's mother who volunteers every week. She has plenty of experience with children herself as she raised 4 of her own kids and worked in the Baltimore City school system as a PT and OT for twenty years!
Andrea O'Neill
Volunteer & Substitute
Andrea aka Abuela, is Sammy's mother-in-law who volunteers on occasion and substitutes as needed. She currently works at University of MD, raised two wonderful boys, and babysits Russell and Penny often!
